So, we'll admit, the title "Bareboat Charter Consultants" sounds like ... well ... bullshit. Just stay with us.
At some sail up bar in an otherwise unmemorable tropical paradise we met a recreational bareboat captain who was sailing with a group he just met. When we asked why he would sail with complete strangers, he told us, "Look, I'm just trying to find people who will subsidize my sailing habit." With his inspiration, we established The Sailing Company to help potential clients book charter vacations and, in at the process, try to find ways to help us reach our ultimate goal -- to sail for free.
We aren't looking to make huge profits, or run a growing sailing empire. We are simply exploring ways to reduce our own travel costs and find ways to subsidize our sailing habit.
Not saying we've been everywhere. But everywhere we've been has left its mark on us.
